York Region Public Health is pleased to invite you to participate in the You're the Chef Leader-Training Workshop
You're the Chef (YTC) is a food literacy cooking program targeted to children from Grade 5 - 8. Nutrition and Health Protection staff from York Region Public Health will be providing a leader-training workshop for staff and volunteers who wish to provide cooking programs for students. Participants will learn how to lead an interactive food literacy program focused on cooking and safe food handling skills. By the end of the workshop, participants will leave feeling inspired to teach their students how to prepare simple, seasonal, and affordable recipes with sustainable ingredients. Participants will receive new recipes, and resources to support their cooking program.
